Urban Practicality: Old Shirts and Tie = Wrapping Paper

An old blown-out shirt and a frayed tie.

A few stitches with doubled thread.

 Buttoned up.

A tie bow, not a bow tie. Brooks Brothers, college years purchase.

Off to the post office.

  1. I recently saw this in a local holiday display. Very clever. I'd love to receive my Christmas gives in this manner.

  2. Pretty cool! Much nicer than my funny pages wrappers.

  3. This a little like Martha gone mad. Give the fellow a Blue Peter Badge!

  4. This is brilliant! Now, if I hadn't just tossed out some of my frayed collar/worn-out shirts I would have all my holiday my gift-wrapping taken care of...

  5. I'd thought about reusing old shirts, but for pillow cases, instead, but I had no idea how to really go about it. You've given me a good idea with the stitches photo.
    Thank you!

Let's keep it clean... but if you DO have to get foul, at least give it a bit of wit. Also, advertising disguised as comments will be deleted, unless it is clever.
